Napoli Pizzeria in Montreal

The worst place ever for service. We were there Christmas evening about 830pm and the place had customers and they wanted to sit us in the rear. Ordered food never received Part of my order. Do not go and waiter took my change and made it his tip without asking.

Good experience. I showed up after closing time with a few tables in the restaurant. I was graciously seated and ordered a mushrooms and meat pasta. It came with a generous helping of classic Italian sauce. Very enjoyable and I look forward to going again.

Great authentic food and good atmosphere.

3 words. Spaghetti + Cheesecake gelato. Sam made our dinner dreams come true. Such a great experience. We will be back.

Food is decent, but wow... The service is something else. Maybe it is a cultural separation, but almost every one who interacted with us made it feel like we were inconveniencing them. The high & mighty attitude and the rude responses are very off putting. Definitely not going back.We didn't experience the pressure to tip high that others talked about, but I wouldn't put it past the establishment to partake in such practices.

Went there last night and even called before to get a reservation. The food was okay nothing too special but the lack of service was something else. The employees were so rude and made us constantly switch tables to a point where they told us to go upstairs (which is a different restaurant). Literally 30 seconds after we sat down, they kept bothering us if we are ready to order and when we finally did, he was in such a hurry and snatched the menu from our hands. Not once they came to fill our water and gave us dirty plates. So when I was paying the bill, I didn't tip and the lady had the audacity to ask me why and while I was politely telling her about the poor service..she said "it's not my fault, you should have told us you had a reservation" ...GIRL I DID TELL YOU and even gave them my name. She told us to not come again and brushed us off with her hand. Worst service ever, would never go there again.

The service was ok and they have a long selection of pizza, but that's about all the good that I found there. The pizza was oily and not very good and the sangria could not have been more watered down.

Surprised by some of the negative reviews, this place was amazing! Romantic atmosphere with delicious authentic Italian cuisine that left my partner and I extremely satisfied and happy! Will return to Napoli in the future.

Went with my family. Nice deco, the food felt fresh and delicious, the waitress was also very nice. I received my appetizer after my main meal but it was not a big deal. The only thing i would not recommend was the dessert. We ordered a crème brulé and a cannoli, the crème brulé looked and tasted like it was burnt multiple times and didn’t had that crispy feel on the surface. The cannoli was very hard and the taste for both dessert just did felt like it was made a long time ago.

Owner is so friendly and food is definitely delicious.

Fantastic food and service

So I went there for the second time and it was disappointing. I had a hair on my pizza and the shrimps were rubbery. Also, the customer next to us received moldy bread. Furthermore, the taste was okay but nothing more. Cross the street to Dei Compari for a better meal!!

Had a wonderful experience here. Staff were courteous and the food was prompt. The alfredo sauce with my chicken was perfect, not too thick. I noticed an older fellow cleaning tables, which he had to do for me also when I spilled my wine. (and broke the glass) He very courteously cleaned up my mess and my glass was quickly replaced. It turns out that the older fellow owned the place. He sat down with us told us some stories of the area and his restaurant(s), which he opened in 1957! The spilled wine was not on the bill. Highly recommended.

Food was good but waiters were yelling at clients and between themselves. This was really unpleasant.

we visited oct. '18. looking in the window passing by drew us in as it is authentic old italian. the food was amazing - clearly made fresh that day. the lasagna was the best i've ever had. service was awesome. dinner was reasonably priced. we like it so much we went back two days later, and had the same experience. we will definitely refer friends and family to this place.

Would difenetly not recommend going to this establishment. The service was the worst ever received. The waiter never checked on us. My girlfriend paid the bill and the waiter came back demanding a 15% tip. Very rude and arrogant. We left very disappointed. 👎👎👎

Very bad service . I ask 5 times a glass of water . The waitress took more than 40 minutes to bring the plates . The restaurant is to hot , any air conditioning . We were seated near an ice cream machine and the heat comes out directly to our table . I asked the bill , and nobody answer me , so I identified an Italian men who I supposed he was the owner and I told him that I am leaving without pay because nobody wants to bring me the bill . Then he ordered the waitress to bring my bill. The food is good , but the service is bad 👎👎👎👎I recomend you to go to other place . There are a lot of choice in St-Denis street

Went to get 2 pizzas to go recently and the service was horrible, the employee was just impolite, did not say hi, was expecting that I tip for the pizzas (legit question do people have to tip when they order to go? And if so for what service?) 18% was the pre set tip on the terminal and when he saw that I was looking at how to not give a tip on the machine left to do something else and didn't spoke to me anymore, another employee (who was very nice) finished the transaction and I left. The pizzas were good, I particularly like the crust of there pizzas, the quality of the cheese is also very good.But just because of the service I would go to pizza Dei compari another pizza restaurant just in front who on top of it is also cheaper and as good (but a bit different)

Napoli pizzaeria has really authentic Italian food. They have about 80 different pizzas. I had lasagna and the sauce was fresh and flavorful.

Absolutely delicious! The ingredients are fresh and the herbs come out well. The mushrooms are crunchy. The two plates we ordered are original and I highly recommend this place.

You would have to be an idiot to come here. Service and staff are some of the worst i have seen across 20 countries. The food isn’t even anything special either. I live one street away and see the staff being rude to customers and tourists almost every day. They get most of their customers from the overflow of the good Italian restaurant across the street.

My family and I came here, the 6 of us were seated quickly, even though it looked busy. We ordered and in no time we're all enjoying amazing pizza.

Amazing! I came here 2 years ago and the fettuccine Anthony was to die for. I brought my family to see if my tastebuds were lying and it was just as amazing. The sauce melts in your mouth. The owner and staff make you feel like you are a regular and part of the family.

Food was really good, owner was really nice, but the customer service was inconsistent. Definitely worth a try for some authentic Italian food!

This is my favorit restaurant in Montreal, the food is great, the price are really good and the crew is great beutiful service ! The owner an the guys super respectful friendly and familiar, its like to be in Napoli italy but in montreal, always happy to come back

Got in late on Christmas Eve, they were curtious and got us in. Even got the people after us in. It was close to 11pm. Food came quick. 🍕 dough was perfect, beef and black olives. Beef was not that tasty but sauce, cheese were. It was thin crispy and prefect. Original lasagna was large portion and tasty. All and all efficient whole in the wall. Nothing fancy.

Great place! I had the Gnocchi alla Gigi and it was probably the best gnocchi I've ever had.

Delicous pasta courteous service. The place is a little stuffy, but otherwise a worthy stop for a midrange budget dinner!

Absolutely horrible experience. The food took forever to arrive, and when enquired how much longer it would take, the waiter was extremely rude and started to argue. The pizza itself was worse than frozen pizza, with the cheese and meats completely out of place. Would not recommend to anyone.

Food is generally ok but waiters are in general very rude. I was here twice and I didn't feel confortable since they seem like they rush you. On the paying machine they set up the option automatically to 20% so if you are not careful, by confirming you are giving 20% of tip which in my opinion they don't deserve. Prices are a bit higher than standard in Montreal.

We had an excellent dinner. The service was great, the staff was exceptionally kind and friendly and the food was incredible!

The restaurant itself is TOO HOT. NO AIR CONDITIONING, very small space which makes eating uncomfortable. Not sure if the man demanding for tips is the manager but he sure is rude and is obviously after the amount of tip you give. Very bad customer service. Food took ages to arrive and it was not worth the wait. not impressed with the food at all. I would steer clear from this place. Would not recommend!!
